Reducing anastomotic leakage in TaTME by mucosal coverage of staple lines: a pilot study with preliminary results

PURPOSE: We have performed a single stapled anastomosis with double purse-string sutures as a Trans anal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME) reconstruction for low rectal cancer.
