Sumario:Birefringent Metasurfaces In article number 2301111 by Nathan J. Ray, Eyal Feigenbaum, and co‐workers, reactive ion beam etching has been used to generate angled all‐glass metasurface features that are monolithic to the glass substrate. An anisotropic index of refraction for these metasurfaces enables non‐birefringent materials to exhibit birefringence. Additionally, the imparted anisotropy lends itself to manipulation of physical properties of the surface as well, with metasurface feature orientation suppressing water flow along one principal axis and giving rise to water flow steering capabilities.
