Sumario: | Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious infectious disease caused by an airborne pathogen mycobacterium tuberculosis and typically presents with classic symptoms of fever, chills, night sweats, cough, and weight loss. TB has been shown to be an independent risk factor for venous thromboembolism by inducing an inflammatory state. We present a rare case of miliary TB that was initially diagnosed with a sub-massive pulmonary embolism. |
