Although the connection between HIV and diabetes is not simple, many aspects of the virus and its treatment have been connected to the onset of diabetes. The presence of inconclusive evidence that HIV is a risk factor for diabetes makes this area more challenging and debatable. This article examines the prevalence of DM in the HIV-positive community, along with its assessment, management, and treatment objectives. The most recent diabetes treatment recommendations from authoritative groups are considered in this article to give readers thorough and current advice. These guidelines emphasize the importance of tailoring pharmacological therapy and treatment goals to suit the specific needs of individuals with diabetes, including those who are also living with HIV.
