description Triptorelin, a synthetic gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, has garnered increasing attention for its profound effects on endocrine profiles across diverse populations. This review article explores triptorelin’s impact on women’s health by examining its effects on healthy individuals, those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and those experiencing hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA). The mechanism of triptorelin involves a transient surge in gonadotropin release, followed by receptor desensitization, leading to downregulation of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. In healthy women, triptorelin’s controlled modulation of the HPG axis is a foundation for assisted reproduction techniques. In PCOS, it offers promise in restoring ovulatory function and mitigating hyperandrogenism. For HA individuals, triptorelin’s potential to restore proper GnRH pulsatility emerges as a therapeutic avenue. This review emphasizes the importance of personalized approaches based on specific health conditions, highlighting triptorelin’s versatility and potential applications beyond its current scope. As research progresses, triptorelin’s role in endocrine management is poised to reshape women’s health by optimizing hormonal equilibrium and overall well-being.
