Sumario:Aortic valve neocuspidization, initially described by Ozaki and colleagues, has become an increasingly popular treatment approach for aortic valve disease in both adult and paediatric populations. We report a case of an 18-year-old man with severe aortic regurgitation who underwent the Ozaki procedure using photo-oxidized bovine pericardium. Around 5 weeks after the surgery, he developed early symptomatic valve failure due to multiple leaflet tears requiring urgent reoperation.
