Sumario: | The imaging diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma is challenging as benign hypervascular lesions and arterioportal shunts (pseudolesions) often mimic it. There is also overlap in the imaging appearance from dysplastic and regenerating nodules. This article addresses the above imaging problems, examines proposed non-invasive imaging criteria for the diagnosis of hepatoma and discusses the optimal imaging modality. |
