Adjuvant intraoperative photodynamic therapy diminishes the rate of local recurrence in a rat mammary tumour model.

The use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) as an adjunct to curative tumour resection was investigated in a tumour recurrence model, using rat mammary adenocarcinoma BN472.
