Residual active granzyme B in cathepsin C–null lymphocytes is sufficient for perforin-dependent target cell apoptosis
Cathepsin C activates serine proteases expressed in hematopoietic cells by cleaving an N-terminal dipeptide from the proenzyme upon granule packaging.
