Observations on intracellular pH during cleavage of eggs of Xenopus laevis
Direct measurements of intracellular pH was made with recessed-tip pH microelectrodes in fertilized eggs of the frog, Xenopus laevis, from approximately 1 h after fertilization to mid-blastula.
