Sumario:Rats on a low phosphorus diet cannot be protected from the development of rickets by exposures to soft Roentgen rays such as were employed in this study. Furthermore, rats on a diet containing phosphate in an amount adequate to prevent rickets were not rendered rachitic by exposure to massive doses of Roentgen rays of an intensity sufficient to produce marked destruction of the blood-forming cells of the marrow.
