Sumario: | 1. Double or partial suprarenalectomy in rabbits produces no specific changes either in the tubules or in the interstitial cells of the testes. 2. This is in sharp contrast with the marked hypertrophy of the interstitial cells of the ovary which usually occurs in rabbits surviving double suprarenalectomy 30 days or more. 3. These facts indicate that the interstitial cells of the testis and ovary are not functionally homologous. |
