Sumario:1. The total cholesterol and cholesterol ester of bovine blood serum during the "dry" period of late pregnancy is low. 2. Following parturition the total cholesterol and cholesterol ester of bovine blood serum show a still greater, very transient decrease followed by a gradual rise to reach a rather constant level 40 to 50 days post partum. This lactation level is very much higher than the "dry" level.
