Sumario: | In estimating the increments of growth of tissue cultures and of comparative indices it is possible to use areas calculated from measurement of two axes made with an ocular micrometer in an ordinary microscope. On the assumption that the growths are approximately circular in outline the squares of their radii are used as the factors for comparison. Results obtained with this method agree fairly closely with those derived from projectoscopic drawings and planimetric measurements. |
