Mutational analysis of the phototransduction pathway of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
Chlamydomonas has two photobehavioral responses, phototaxis and photoshock. Rhodopsin is the photoreceptor for these responses and the signal transduction process involves transmembrane Ca2+ fluxes.
