Valinomycin Biosynthetic Gene Cluster in Streptomyces: Conservation, Ecology and Evolution

Many Streptomyces strains are known to produce valinomycin (VLM) antibiotic and the VLM biosynthetic gene cluster (vlm) has been characterized in two independent isolates.
