Sumario:Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is an uncommon cause of acute renal failure. Diarrhea-associated (D+) HUS, usually seen in children, is a common variety of HUS. HUS that is not associated with diarrhea (D−) is caused by a heterogeneous group of disorders. We report here a case of recurrent HUS (D−) in an adult female with hypocomplementemia.
