The centrosymmetric organic molecule in the title compound, C(10)H(10)N(8)·2H(2)O, is essentially flat and has a trans configuration. The molecules are linked by intermolecular O—H⋯N, N—H⋯O and N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds to form a linear chain structure.
