Tetra-μ(2)-oxido-di-μ(4)-peroxido-tetrakis[diphenylantimony(V)] chloroform disolvate

The title compound, [Sb(4)(C(6)H(5))(8)O(4)(O(2))(2)]·2CHCl(3), contains a tetranuclear antimony(V) core, bridged by oxide and peroxide ligands. Two cores form centrosymmetric dimers by intermolecular C—H⋯O contacts. These dimeric units are further connected by chloroform solvent molecules involve...

Sumario:The title compound, [Sb(4)(C(6)H(5))(8)O(4)(O(2))(2)]·2CHCl(3), contains a tetranuclear antimony(V) core, bridged by oxide and peroxide ligands. Two cores form centrosymmetric dimers by intermolecular C—H⋯O contacts. These dimeric units are further connected by chloroform solvent molecules involved in C—H⋯O and C—H⋯Cl interactions into strands along [010]. The five-membered Sb(2)O(3) rings in the Sb(4)O(8) core invariably adopt envelope conformations.
