The mol­ecule of the title compound, C(4)H(2)Cl(2)N(2), is almost planar [maximum deviation = 0.013 (3) Å for a Cl atom]. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular C—H⋯N inter­actions link the mol­ecules into chains.
