Bis(ferrocenecarbaldehyde 4-methylthiosemicarbazonato-κ(2) N (1),S)zinc(II) methanol solvate

In the title compound, [Fe(2)Zn(C(5)H(5))(2)(C(8)H(9)N(3)S)(2)]·CH(3)OH, the dihedral angles between the substituted and unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl rings are 89.34 (8) and 85.73 (9)°, respectively. The two Zn/S/C/N/N five-membered rings adopt envelope conformations, with the Zn(II) atom at the...

Sumario:In the title compound, [Fe(2)Zn(C(5)H(5))(2)(C(8)H(9)N(3)S)(2)]·CH(3)OH, the dihedral angles between the substituted and unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl rings are 89.34 (8) and 85.73 (9)°, respectively. The two Zn/S/C/N/N five-membered rings adopt envelope conformations, with the Zn(II) atom at the flap. Each methanol solvent molecule is linked to three ferrocene groups via intermolecular O—H⋯N, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further consolidated by C—H⋯π interactions.
