Two chiral carbon centres are observed in the compound, but their absolute configurations could not be determined. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol­ecules into zigzag chains along c. Additional C—H⋯O inter­actions connect adjacent chains.
