The crystal structure of the title compound, C(7)H(10)NO(+)·Cl(−), was synthesized by the reaction of 4-methoxyaniline and hydrochloric acid. In the crystal structure, the ions are involved in intermolecular N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.
