In the cation, the Co(II) ion sits on an inversion centre and is octa­hedrally coordinated by two pyridine N atoms and four O atoms. A two-dimensional network parallel to (010) is formed via inter­molecular O—H⋯O, O—H⋯N, N—H⋯N and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
