In the title compound, C(7)H(8)N(2)O(2), the mean planes of the benzene ring and the planar hydrazide group are inclined at 25.75 (6)° with respect to each other. The structure is stabilized by intermolecular N—H⋯O and O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
