Sumario: | In the title compound, C(26)H(16)ClN(3)O(3), the dihedral angle between the anthracene mean plane and imidazole ring is 64.75 (2)°. In the crystal, π–π interactions between anthracene fragments lead to the formation of stacks of molecules propagating in [100]. The short distance between the carbonyl groups of symmetry-related molecules [C⋯O = 2.985 (2) Å] indicates the existence of dipole–dipole interactions. The crystal packing also exhibits short intermolecular contacts between the nitro groups and Cl atoms [Cl⋯O = 3.181 (2) Å]. |
