Sumario:In the title complex, [Mn(C(6)H(4)NO(2)S)(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))] or [MnL (2)(phen)] (L = 2-mercaptonicotinate and phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), the central Mn(II) atom is coordinated by two carboxylic O atoms and two thiol­ate S atoms of two L ligands and two N atoms from one phen mol­ecule, giving a distorted octa­hedral geometry. The pyridyl H atoms form strong N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds with the carbonyl O atoms of the adjacent mol­ecules, generating a chain structure propagating in [100].
