2,4-Dichloro-6-(8-quinolylaminomethylene)cyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-one methanol solvate

The main molecule of the title methanol solvate, C(16)H(10)Cl(2)N(2)O·CH(3)OH, exists in the keto form and the C=O and N—H bonds are mutually cis in the crystal structure. The dihedral angle between the quinoline and benzene rings is 11.17 (3)°. A bifurcated intramolecular N—H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bond...

Sumario:The main molecule of the title methanol solvate, C(16)H(10)Cl(2)N(2)O·CH(3)OH, exists in the keto form and the C=O and N—H bonds are mutually cis in the crystal structure. The dihedral angle between the quinoline and benzene rings is 11.17 (3)°. A bifurcated intramolecular N—H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bond is present as well as an O—H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, C—H⋯O interactions link the 3,5-dichlorosalicylidene-8-aminoquinoline and methanol molecules.
