In the title compound, C(7)H(8)N(2)O(4)S, the nitro group is twisted by 9.61 (2)° relative to the benzene ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H⋯O and N—H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds between the amino and sulfonyl groups, forming layers parallel to (001).
