There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(8)H(4)ClNO(2). In the crystal, they are linked by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating centrosymmetric, tetrameric assemblies. A C—H⋯O interaction also occurs.
