Aqua(benzene-1,2-dicarboxylato-κO)bis[2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl-κN (2))pyridine-κN]cadmium(II)

In the mononuclear title complex, [Cd(C(8)H(4)O(4))(C(8)H(7)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)], the Cd(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry by four N atoms from two bidentate chelating 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands, one O atom from a benzene-1,2-dicarboxylate ligand and one water mol...

Sumario:In the mononuclear title complex, [Cd(C(8)H(4)O(4))(C(8)H(7)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)], the Cd(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry by four N atoms from two bidentate chelating 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands, one O atom from a benzene-1,2-dicarboxylate ligand and one water molecule. The molecular structure features intramolecular O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal structure, the complex molecules are assembled into a two-dimensional supramolecular layer parallel to (011) via O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions between the pyridyl and pyrazole rings [centroid–centroid distances = 3.544 (2) and 3.722 (3) Å].
