The molecular structure of the cation is stabilized by an intramolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bond. Within the complex anion, the Co(II) atom is tetrahedrally surrounded by four N atoms of the thiocyanate ligands. π–π stacking, with a distance of 3.7615 (10) Å between the centroids of benzene and pyridine rings, helps to consolidate the packing. |
