In the title compound, C(13)H(9)N(3)O(2)·H(2)O, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 10.7 (4)° and an intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, the components are linked by N—H⋯O, O—H⋯N and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
