description In the title complex, [Ni(C(27)H(27)N(7))(C(3)H(7)NO)(H(2)O)](C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7))(2), the Ni(II) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa­hedral coordination evironment by an NiN(4)O(2) ligand set. The tris­(N-methyl­benzimidazol-2-ylmeth­yl)amine ligand is in a tetra­dentate mode while a coordinated water molecule and a dimethyl­formamide ligand complete the coordination. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the cation and one of the pictrate anions into four-component centrosymmetric clusters.
