The molecule of the title compound, C(12)H(11)ClN(2)O, has E configuration at the azomethine double bond and is virtually planar with a dihedral angle of 1.25 (13)° between the benzene and isoxazole rings. C—H⋯π interactions stabilize the crystal structure.
