Sumario:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(14)ClNO(2)S, contains two independent mol­ecules. The torsion angles of the C—SO(2)—NH—C segments in the two mol­ecules are −76.5 (5) and −48.3 (4)°. The two aromatic rings are tilted relative to each other by 76.6 (2)° in one mol­ecule and 70.7 (2)° in the other. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.
