Sumario: | The electrocardiograms were compared in two groups of schizophrenic patients (Experimental group N=43, Control group N=60). The selected cases were given 4 mg of Trifluoperazine daily by IM route for five days. A 12 lead ECG was taken thrice in each case. A statistical analysis of the data showed definite changes in many of the ECG variables. Comparatively more changes were noticed in the experimental group and in patients beyond the age of 45 years. |
