In the title complex, [Co(C(16)H(14)N(2)O(2))(C(5)H(4)ClN)(2)]ClO(4)·CH(3)OH, the Co(III) ion is in a slightly distorted octahedral CoN(4)O(2) coordination environment with the two 4-chloropyridine ligands in a trans arrangement.
