Sumario: | Sixty patients of pulmonary tuberculosis selected through a specified selection procedure were followed up after one year of treatment. The psychiatric assessment was done by Present State Examination (P.S.E.) brief version and an open ended life event questionnaire. Results indicate that the non-life event group patients improved significantly (p<0.001) more as compared to life event group patients. The findings are discussed in the light of available literature. |
