In the title zwitterionic molecule, C(6)H(5)N(5), the tetrazole and pyridine rings are nearly coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 2.08 (1)°. In the crystal, molecules are connected by classical N—H⋯N and weak C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
