Low early ototoxicity rates for pediatric medulloblastoma patients treated with proton radiotherapy
BACKGROUND: Hearing loss is common following chemoradiotherapy for children with medulloblastoma. Compared to photons, proton radiotherapy reduces radiation dose to the cochlea for these patients.
