Poly[aquabis[μ(2)-2-(pyridin-4-ylsulfanyl)acetato]zinc]
The crystal structure of the title complex, [Zn(C(7)H(6)NO(2)S)(2)(H(2)O)](n), consists of extended layers parallel to (001) with 2-(pyridin-4-ylsulfanyl)acetate ligands bridging the Zn(II) atoms. The Zn(II) atom shows a distorted pentagonal–bipyramidal coordination environment. The Zn(II) and one...

Sumario: | The crystal structure of the title complex, [Zn(C(7)H(6)NO(2)S)(2)(H(2)O)](n), consists of extended layers parallel to (001) with 2-(pyridin-4-ylsulfanyl)acetate ligands bridging the Zn(II) atoms. The Zn(II) atom shows a distorted pentagonal–bipyramidal coordination environment. The Zn(II) and one O atom are situated on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, intralayer O—H⋯O hydrogen-bond interactions help to consolidate the coordination layer. |
