The Zn(II) atom is located on a twofold axis and is in a distorted tetra­hedral coordination formed by the two carboxyl­ate O atoms [Zn—O = 1.9647 (12) Å] and two phenanthroline N atoms [Zn—N = 2.0949 (14) Å].
