The title compound, C(15)H(11)Cl(2)NO, is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.062 Å) and contains a single C=C double bond in a trans (E) configuration. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N—H⋯N and N—H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonding.
