In 1982-83, an ICMR Multi-Centre Project of Training in Psychiatry for Non-Psychiatrist Primary Care Doctors was successfully completed at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Vellore using the training methods developed at NIMHANS. This paper describes the training programme and the results.
