Sumario:Although medical therapies for pulmonary arterial hypertension have greatly improved, it remains a chronic and fatal disease. For patients who are refractory to medical therapy, lung transplantation is an important treatment option. This review discusses issues pertaining to indications for transplant, preparation for transplant and listing, operative issues, and outcomes for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
