Sumario:In the title compound, C(16)H(19)ClO(2)S, the cyclohexyl ring adopts a chair conformation and the arylsulfinyl unit is positioned equatorial relative to the cyclohexyl group. The least-squares plane through all six C atoms of the cyclohexyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 74.80 (6)° with the mean plane of the benzofuran fragment. In the crystal, molecules are linked through intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
