Sumario: | The title mononuclear nickel complex, [Ni(C(9)H(9)BrNO(2))(2)]·H(2)O, was obtained by the reaction of 5-bromosalicylaldehyde, 2-aminoethanol and nickel nitrate in methanol. The Ni(II) atom is six-coordinated by two phenolate O, two imine N and two hydroxy O atoms from two crystallographically different Schiff base ligands, forming an octahedral geometry. In the crystal, molecules are linked by intermolecular O—H⋯O and O—H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. |
