N-(4-Chlorophenyl)-N′-(4-methylphenyl)succinamide
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(17)ClN(2)O(2), contains one half-molecule with a center of symmetry at the mid-point of the central C—C bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the adjacent NH—C(O)—CH(2) group is 39.9 (1)°. The methyl and Cl groups are disordered with...

Sumario: | The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(17)ClN(2)O(2), contains one half-molecule with a center of symmetry at the mid-point of the central C—C bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the adjacent NH—C(O)—CH(2) group is 39.9 (1)°. The methyl and Cl groups are disordered with respect to the para-positions of the benzene ring, with site-occupation factors of 0.5 each. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains parallel to the baxis. |
