In the title molecule, C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2), a twofold rotation axis passes through the mid-point of the S—S bond. The C—S—S—C torsion angle is 83.62 (17)°. π–π stacking between imidazole rings of adjacent molecules is observed in the crystal structure, the centroid–centroid distance being 3.447 (2) Å....
